Product Description

Product Introduction

Oil filter, also known as oil grid. It is used to remove impurities such as dust, metal particles, carbon deposits and soot particles in the engine oil to protect the engine.

The oil filter is divided into full flow type and split flow type. The full-flow filter is connected in series between the oil pump and the main oil passage, so it can filter all the lubricating oil entering the main oil passage. The shunt cleaner is connected in parallel with the main oil passage to filter only part of the lubricating oil sent by the oil pump.

Role

Under normal circumstances, the various parts in the engine are lubricated by the oil to achieve normal operation, but the metal debris, dust, carbon deposits oxidized at high temperatures, and some water vapor generated during the operation of the parts will continue to mix In the engine oil, the service life of the engine oil will be reduced after a long time, which may affect the normal operation of the engine in severe cases.

Therefore, the role of the oil filter is reflected at this time. Simply put, the main function of the oil filter is to filter most of the impurities in the oil, keep the standby oil clean, and extend its normal service life. In addition, the oil filter should also have strong filtering capacity, low flow resistance, and long service life.

Technical features

● Filter paper: Oil filters have higher requirements for filter paper than air filters, mainly because the temperature of the oil varies from 0 to 300 degrees. Under severe temperature changes, the concentration of the oil also changes accordingly. This will affect the filtration flow of the oil. The filter paper of a high-quality oil filter must be able to filter impurities under severe temperature changes while ensuring sufficient flow.

● Rubber sealing ring: The filter sealing ring of high-quality oil is made of special rubber to ensure that 100% does not leak oil.

● Backflow suppression valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the engine is turned off, it can prevent the oil filter from drying out; when the engine is re-ignited, it immediately generates pressure and supplies oil to lubricate the engine. (also called check valve)

● Overflow valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the external temperature drops to a certain value or when the oil filter exceeds the normal service life, the overflow valve will open under special pressure, allowing unfiltered oil to flow directly into the engine. In spite of this, the impurities in the oil will enter the engine together, but the damage is much smaller than the damage caused by the absence of oil in the engine. Therefore, the relief valve is the key to protect the engine in an emergency. (Also known as bypass valve)

An oil breather filter is a small but important component used in engine systems to manage air flow and reduce internal pressure buildup. It allows clean air to enter or exit the crankcase while preventing contaminants such as dust, dirt, and debris from entering the system. This helps maintain stable engine operation and protects internal components from premature wear.

Typically installed on the valve cover or breather port, the oil breather filter works by filtering air through a high-quality media, such as foam, cotton, or synthetic fibers. These materials provide effective filtration while ensuring sufficient airflow. By controlling pressure within the engine, the filter helps reduce oil leakage and improves overall engine efficiency.

Durability is an important feature of oil breather filters. They are designed to withstand heat, vibration, and exposure to oil vapors during continuous operation. Many models are reusable and can be cleaned periodically, making them a practical and cost-effective maintenance solution.

Oil breather filters are widely used in automotive, motorcycle, and industrial engine applications. Whether in performance vehicles or standard equipment, they contribute to cleaner operation, improved reliability, and extended engine life.
