Product Description
Product Introduction
Oil filter, also known as oil grid. It is used to remove impurities such as dust, metal particles, carbon deposits and soot particles in the engine oil to protect the engine.
The oil filter is divided into full flow type and split flow type. The full-flow filter is connected in series between the oil pump and the main oil passage, so it can filter all the lubricating oil entering the main oil passage. The shunt cleaner is connected in parallel with the main oil passage to filter only part of the lubricating oil sent by the oil pump.
Role
Under normal circumstances, the various parts in the engine are lubricated by the oil to achieve normal operation, but the metal debris, dust, carbon deposits oxidized at high temperatures, and some water vapor generated during the operation of the parts will continue to mix In the engine oil, the service life of the engine oil will be reduced after a long time, which may affect the normal operation of the engine in severe cases.
Therefore, the role of the oil filter is reflected at this time. Simply put, the main function of the oil filter is to filter most of the impurities in the oil, keep the standby oil clean, and extend its normal service life. In addition, the oil filter should also have strong filtering capacity, low flow resistance, and long service life.
Technical features
● Filter paper: Oil filters have higher requirements for filter paper than air filters, mainly because the temperature of the oil varies from 0 to 300 degrees. Under severe temperature changes, the concentration of the oil also changes accordingly. This will affect the filtration flow of the oil. The filter paper of a high-quality oil filter must be able to filter impurities under severe temperature changes while ensuring sufficient flow.
● Rubber sealing ring: The filter sealing ring of high-quality oil is made of special rubber to ensure that 100% does not leak oil.
● Backflow suppression valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the engine is turned off, it can prevent the oil filter from drying out; when the engine is re-ignited, it immediately generates pressure and supplies oil to lubricate the engine. (also called check valve)
● Overflow valve: only available in high-quality oil filters. When the external temperature drops to a certain value or when the oil filter exceeds the normal service life, the overflow valve will open under special pressure, allowing unfiltered oil to flow directly into the engine. In spite of this, the impurities in the oil will enter the engine together, but the damage is much smaller than the damage caused by the absence of oil in the engine. Therefore, the relief valve is the key to protect the engine in an emergency. (Also known as bypass valve)
Reusable oil filters are an innovative advancement in the automotive and industrial sectors, combining efficiency, environmental responsibility, and long-term cost savings. While traditional oil filters are typically single-use and end up in landfills, reusable oil filters offer a sustainable alternative by providing long-term filtration without the need for frequent replacements. As these filters are engineered for repeated use, they not only improve engine performance but also contribute to reducing waste and protecting the environment.
What Are Reusable Oil Filters?
A reusable oil filter is designed to be cleaned and reused multiple times, unlike disposable filters that need to be replaced after every use. These filters are typically made from durable materials like stainless steel mesh or high-quality plastic, allowing them to withstand the harsh conditions of oil filtration, including high temperatures, high pressure, and the corrosive nature of engine oils. The filtering element in reusable oil filters is often a fine mesh or screen that traps contaminants such as dirt, metal shavings, carbon, and soot, which can otherwise damage engine components.
The key difference between reusable and disposable filters is that reusable filters can be cleaned, either manually or with a specialized cleaning machine, and then put back into service. This provides a significant economic advantage over time, especially for industries and consumers who perform regular maintenance on their vehicles or equipment.
How Do Reusable Oil Filters Work?
Like traditional oil filters, reusable oil filters function by filtering out impurities from the engine oil. When oil circulates through the engine, it picks up contaminants such as dirt, metal shavings from moving parts, soot, carbon deposits, and even water. These impurities can cause the oil to become thick, reduce its lubricating effectiveness, and damage the engine over time. The oil filter catches these particles, ensuring that the oil remains clean and the engine runs smoothly.
Reusable filters are usually equipped with fine mesh or screen material that captures even the smallest contaminants. This allows them to filter oil more efficiently, extending the lifespan of the oil and improving engine performance. After use, the filter can be disassembled, cleaned, and put back into service, offering a long-term solution that significantly reduces the need for constant replacements.
Benefits of Reusable Oil Filters
1. Sustainability and Environmental Benefits
The most significant advantage of reusable oil filters is their positive impact on the environment. Disposable oil filters contribute to landfill waste, as they are typically made of metal, paper, and plastic, which take years to decompose. By contrast, reusable oil filters can be used indefinitely, leading to a substantial reduction in waste. For environmentally conscious consumers and businesses, using reusable filters helps reduce their overall carbon footprint.
2. Cost-Effectiveness
Though reusable oil filters may come with a higher initial purchase price, the long-term savings are considerable. Since they can be cleaned and reused many times, there is no need for frequent replacements. This is particularly advantageous for industries with high filtration demands, such as transportation, mining, and construction, where regular oil changes and filter replacements can lead to significant ongoing costs.
3. Improved Engine Protection
Reusable oil filters are designed to offer superior filtration compared to their disposable counterparts. The fine mesh or stainless-steel construction ensures that even small particles are trapped effectively, preventing them from circulating through the engine. This contributes to better engine performance, reduces wear and tear on internal components, and extends the life of the engine. Cleaner oil also helps the engine run more efficiently, improving fuel economy and reducing emissions.
4. Longer Lifespan
Reusable oil filters, if maintained properly, can last the lifetime of the vehicle or equipment they are used in. Regular cleaning and proper maintenance ensure that the filter remains in optimal working condition, providing consistent filtration over time. This is especially beneficial for industries where equipment downtime can be costly, as using a reusable filter reduces the need for frequent maintenance or part replacements.
5. Versatility
Reusable oil filters are available for a wide range of applications. They are commonly used in automotive engines, industrial machinery, and hydraulic systems. The versatility of these filters makes them a valuable tool for various sectors, including the automotive, manufacturing, and energy industries. Whether in passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, or industrial machinery, reusable oil filters provide a flexible, long-lasting filtration solution.
